Empower children in underserved communities with access to books they can keep at home, fostering a love of reading while bridging the literacy gap.
Access to education is a basic human right. It reduces poverty and offers the tools needed to succeed in life.
According to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, more than half of families living in poverty don’t have children’s books in their homes. Code Read is a nonprofit dedicated to improving these numbers. By providing new books to kids in need, we aim to improve literacy levels, increase access to age-approorpiate literature, and encourage a lifelong love of reading.
